About the institute

Health education rooted in the community it serves

Bannu Institute of Health Sciences was established to give students from Bannu and the surrounding districts a proper route into the nursing and allied health professions — without having to leave home for a bigger city.

We combine classroom teaching with practical work in our skills laboratory and supervised clinical rotations, so that graduates step into a ward or a health facility already knowing what is expected of them.

  • Qualified, experienced teaching faculty
  • Skills laboratory for practical demonstration and practice
  • Supervised clinical training with partner health facilities
  • Separate, secure arrangements for female students
